Encrypt communication between Essbase v11 client and server

edited Oct 18, 2013 5:15AM in Hyperion Essbase (MOSC) 5 commentsAnswered
We use the Essbase v11 classic addin and native security.  Is the communication between the Essbase v11 native client and server unencrypted?  My understanding is that all of the information is not encrypted includeing id's, passwords, and data.  The pwds are encrypted when stored on the server but not across he network.  Are there any options to encrypt that communication?  We plan to go to smartview/ldap authentication but will require substantal changes to a related application.   I've seen some references to use of a product Blowfish but haven't found any informtion on how to implement it to encrypt between an essbase client

Howdy, Stranger!
