capitalization minimum/book not required

Hello,

We set up a capitalization limit for a book that is NOT required. When we add an asset, we want to be able to capitalize for one book, but not the other - so when doing a basic add, we put "0" in the amount for the book that is not required and has the capitalization limit. However, it will not let us save the asset because it is below the capitalization limit. How can we add an asset so it capitalizes for one book but not the other?
