Concurrent Program for request set stage went into error but stage still remains in PENDING for infi

We have a request set in which second stage is for "Auto Invoice Master Program". In some intermittent case, master program goes into error bue request set stage remians in pending/running  status for infinite time, till we terminate stage manually.

master program goes into error with completion text : "The concurrent program for your concurrent request exited to wait, but has no pending child requests to wait for. Routine AFPPRC received a return code of failure.". We referred doc - 1094863.1 and followed the advised step but problem remained. Later we raised an SR on this front that why master program goes into error without generating any log and it is stii going on.
