Slight performance improvement after the upgrade to 11g RAC

 Hello all,
We are currently working on upgrading our 11g 2-node RAC DB's running on x86_64 (4 CPU / 32GB RAM) to OEL 6.3 (24 CPU/ 128 GB RMAN) box. During the POC which is not yet completed, we were able to successfully upgrade the DB's to the new hardware which is way better than the existing live box. But in terms of the performance we are not seeing any significant performance improvement. Performance is just better by 1% - 2%. 

I understand there is no one single solution to achieve this, but I would like to have this pushed to the community so that I can collect multiple suggestions/recommendations and see how we can get this resolved.
