SLA Upgrade - what are the implications of not updating historic SLA data for costing?

Hi
We are currently trying to decide how much historical SLA data to upgrade.

For Cost Management, is there any recommendation of best practice for how far back to upgrade data from?

What are the implications of NOT upgrading historical SLA data for cost management?
