Integration with Microsoft Outlook

 Hello,
We are currently in a multi tennant CRMOD environment. The current integration with Outlook doesn't really suit our needs as it doesn't allow us to create Service Requests from an email nor does it allow integration with the Outlook calendar. We've been told if we move to a single tennant environment, we can add CRM Desktop services which will allow the integration with MS Outlook that we are looking for.

I'm looking for feedback from users who are using CRM Desktop as well as any other alternatives we could explore to achieve the integration with Outlook we're interested in.
