Packaging stock and Purchase Order association
Dear Community
We work in the fresh produce industry producing and selling items like celery, radish, or lettuces, to name a few.
Taking the lettuces as an example, they are wrapped with a bag, have label stuck to them, we put several of them in a box and finally, we stack several boxes on a pallet. This will define what for us is a lot. However, our JDE implementation has no lot numbers enabled for packaging items and no Bill of Materials associated to our produce items. The decision of not enabling lot number for packaging items was made based on the difficulty to control items which are really small in size, like labels.
