Manufacturing Accounting - Cost by cost centre questions

Hi To all
we are using configurated items , so cost by cost centre is not fully supported.

I'm making a few tests over standard and configured items

I have not activated the cost by cost centre flag in manufacturing constants

but when I run R31802A I'm activating the processing option 6 from the process tab in order to get journal entries by cost centre

this seems to work fine, so we are getting the labour and machine costs taken by cost centre on the IH document

this seems to work also for configurated items

so what is the extra functionality for the cost by cost centre constant?, only to get also labour and machine variances also by cost centre?
