Ability to create a Supplier Account using an existing Customer Party in R12

Has Oracle recognized this as a bug where i cannot create a supplier account using and exisitng customer party. In the R12 TCA, structure Parties are can be shared by Suppleirs and Customers for AR/AP netting. Oracle allows an Customer Account to be created from a Supplier Party but not the other way around. Is there a way to complete this where i create the supplier account from the Customer Party. Has Oracle  implemented a fix for this? Any thoughts?
