Need to delete assignment for a retired asset (11i)

Hi,
in 11i.
Asset was retired with assignment fields (employee name) still filfilled.
We need to change this assignment (need to delete it), but cannot access the form assignments as asset is retired. How to delete the assignment of a retired asset ?
