This one-hour session is recommended for technical users who are interested in learning more about how to perform a Bare Metal Restore on the Exadata compute node. This procedure covers overview and steps involved when there is a complete loss database servers excluding database restore and recovery steps.

TOPICS WILL INCLUDE:

  • Become familiar with situations when a Bare Metal Restore may be recommended (e.g. RAID, filesystem or clusterware corruption)
  • Awareness and exposure to clusterware administration tasks such as node add/removal and Grid Infrastructure/RDBMS cloning
