Database Install/Upgrade/Opatch (MOSC)

Hi,

when install e1loca I see the following step:

Database closed.
Database dismounted.
ORACLE instance shut down.

ORACLE instance started.
Database mounted.
Database opened.

_do you know what is the reason?

_it happend everytime database is update?
