METADATA KERNAL hangs after running table conversions

We are running a table conversion to convert records stored in a foreign AS/400 table into SQL2008. When we run the table conversion locally they run with no issue. When we submit them to the enterprise server, they process into the destination table. After the job completes, it is causing the METADATA Kernel to fail on the Enterprise server. We have to restart the JDE services to restore application access. The METADATA log is stating that the user password associated to the datasource is wrong, but the conversion runs and is able to access the data. We verified the settings and everything
