ActiveViewName - When To Use???

Hi All,
As per the following document, "ActiveViewName return null (Doc ID 534905.1)", when the applet is loaded the view is not yet activated.

 - Is this correct???? even in version 8.2.2???
 - BusComp_PreQuery() happens after WebApplet_Load() right??
 - When will the view be activated??? Is it possible to know the last event after which the view is activated??
