Running the Subledger Accounting Program Report -- getting an error # 95325 -- Period is not either

Hi,

While running the report "Subledger Accounting Program Report " related to Program "Subledger Accounting Balances Update" getting an error # 95325 and the error message stating as "The GL date xx-xxx-xxxx is not in an open or a future enterable period.  Please select a valid GL date or open the period".

We need to reopen this older period using the Open / Close functionality in GL or

If we have to reopen this older period to correct the entry and then how to close this reopened period without giving any issues while closing. 

Thanks in advance for any help regarding this issue.
