implications on current dbs of changing ASMSNMP password
Hallo! My predcessor DBA who was working in my current organization installed an 11gR2 standby db on ASM so he had set SYS and ASMSNMP passwords while doing so.He left the company and he forgot the ASMSNMP password.
I want to install another DB on the same node where previous DBA had done installation to sit on top of same ASM instance.During installation,I have reached the stage where I am required to provide ASMSNMP password particular to ASM.But since nobody knows this password,I want to change it.
My question is that this will affect the previous db installed by prior DBA.Thus, how do I also ensure prior DB also registers the password change and ensure DB and ASM instances can still communicate. There is no db control setup for prior DB.Also this prior DB is an active dataguard db.
