Sales Online and Sales module in Oracle Apps R12

Dear all,

I have few queries on Sales Online(ASF) and Sales (ASN) application of Oracle Apps.

As per metalink note IDs 1317906.1, 839098.1, 763865.1 Sales Online is replaced with Sales in R12.

There are few interfaces from third party into Oracle Sales Online in 11i; which as a part of technical upgrade is replaced with Sales in R12. Tables and APIs being used are from Sales Foundation module (AS).

With the context above below are the queries:

  1. What functionality change is there in Sales Online to Sales?
  2. Do both the application Sales Online and Sales; use same set of DB Objects (Tables, APIs) from Sales Foundation application?
