Refining a List

As an admin, when I refine a list and click save, I have the option to 'Overwrite this list - Current List Name'. One of my users with a lower access level wishes to refine his list, however, there is no option to overwrite his current list. He can only save as a new list with a new name. How can I change this so that he has the same option as I?
