Attention: To align with new corporate security policies, and to match policies adopted by other communities within Oracle, the My Oracle Support Community access requirements will change beginning September 18, 2025. MOSC will now require that member accounts in our community be associated to a *corporate* email address. Do I need XML DB for XMLType?

Hi,

I have a user getting an error ORA-31159: XML DB is in an invalid state, when he try to insert a data into a XMLTYPE column.

I'm using 11.2.0.2 DB, and i checked the DB doesn't has XML DB setup.

Do I need to setup/configure XML DB on my 11202 DB in order to use XMLTYPE column?
