LDAP or other external authentication for Oracle DB

DB: Oracle 11.2.03 with ASM Linux: Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 6.4
 Node: 5
 
We have several applications and databases. Is it possible to intoduce LDAP authentication to Oracle?  What are other options do I have for authentication?   when user leave our company, we have to go to various databases or servers to revoke their permission or lock their account. is there a way to lock or drop the user account from one place?  Any suggestions or help is appreciated.
