Offline Client Information

I am working with a sales team to start using CRM On Demand.  One of their requirements is they must be able to update information offline and have it sync back to CRM when connected.  I've spent time searching through the training site to no avail.  Where can I find information about the offline capabilities of this product?  As a clarification, we are not using nor looking to implement outlook integration.
