firefox browser cannot edit google calendar events any more
To demonstrate: create a new calendar event - works okay. Try editing event detail (eg start time). Preparation of the change works okay, but pressing the save button has no effect, nor does pressing the "back to calendar" button (although that button does work if you didn't make any edits).
Googling for this problem finds many recommendations to "clear cache" and "clear cookies". This produces an unstable fix which lasts for one edit only (and requires re-entering google credentials every time).
Problem first seen a few of weeks ago on an earlier version of firefox (11-ish)
Problem is still present in firefox 24.0 (currently the latest build for Solaris, and claimed supported by google).
