Find a major category on Assign Requisition lines

Kindly advise if it will be possible to enter a query mode on  Assign Requisition Lines and search on a major category example:COMP%

Currently we will navigate to Find Requisitions >Click on the find button it will return all requisitions that was not assigned with the different categories, once we enter a query mode(F11) we can only do a search on amount, the category field is greyed out, is this standard functionality. I need to search on a major category on the assign requisition lines.

I don't want to search on a major.minor.child category,on the Find Requisition Form we can search only on major.minor.child.
