Oracle did not try to resume after restore session timed out

Hi everyone,
We had a DR exercise last week. We are taking incremental backups on our standby database. In the process, we restored from our standby database to our primary server (going from TMHP_DG to TMHP). We restored the controlfile and then started the complete restore/recovery process using the RMAN catalog. The database does use ASM and it does have a default directory of +DATA.

During the restore, the session time out. We then just issued the same run block again to restore and recover database to same SCN as used previously.

However, on this occasion, it did not attempt to skip files already restored and began the restore process from the beginning thus leaving duplicate files out in ASM.

Howdy, Stranger!
