New LDAP Client starting with Siebel 8.1.1.11 / 8.2.2.4

What's new in Siebel 8.1.1.11 / 8.2.2.4 regarding LDAP authentication ?
Introduction of the Oracle Database Client and Oracle Wallet Manager products, which replace the IBM LDAP Client and IBM GSKit as the default LDAP client software for Siebel Business Applications.
This only affects customers that are currently using, or planning to use, the Siebel LDAP Security Adapter.

Do I have to install this Oracle Database Client software ?
In Siebel Security Guide > Security Adapter Authentication > About Installing LDAP Client Software - it states, "It is recommended that you use Oracle Database Client and Oracle Wallet Manager as your LDAP client software solution. However, if you have previously installed the IBM LDAP Client and IBM GSKit to provide your LDAP client software, then you can continue to use these products instead; no changes are required.
