Undocumented Parameter _realfree_heap_pagesize_hint

Our developer is recommending that we set _realfree_heap_pagesize_hint=4M. They claim this will give us increased performance across DB links. We are using AMM (pga_aggregate_target is set), but not ASMM. Also, we are on Solaris M8000 Sparc 64-bit OS. Does anyone have any experience with this parameter and could it make a difference in overall DB performance? Our environment is a large data warehouse and the bottleneck is the operational datastore.
