MES Personalization to hide Message Checkbox: Save Startup Parameter breaks Startup page

In the MES application, we implemented a personalization to hide the Resource, Department, and save Startup Parameters Message Beans on the StartupPG in the MES Operator Workbench.

This week when clicking the "Start" button, we started receiving a NullPointException error in the call to the StartupAM method call to "initParams".

I turned off personalizations and have found the issue to be with setting the "Save Startup Parameters" Message Check Box to not render.

Not sure why suddenly hiding this button is causing the page to fail.

Any ideas?
