IS Siebel Marketing OM mandate for EMS

Currently we are using Siebel 8.1.1.7 and in process of setting EMSWe use Loyalty Object Manager as default. Can you please confirm us if the Marketing OM is mandate to make the component ESD, CTD and BHD work as expected.
NOTE: The ESD is already configured and working as expected.
