EM12c and certificate error

 Hi!
Is it possible to create a self-signed certificate that uses something else than a MD5 algorithm?
I see that there is an easy way to change key strength, but is there is there something similar regarding algorithm? Or is it only 3rd party certificate import that is the workaround?

This is regarding that after upgrading my MacOSX to Mavericks, it looks to have effectively disabled support for MD5. When I open EM console now it just gives me an "Invalid Server Certificate" error.
