R12.1.3 - How To Add Project/task data to APINV approval notification?

I've loaded an attribute with the project and task data but can't seem to add it to the approval notificaiton and be able to see it.  We have some added FYI notificaitons that show this just fine but the seeded approval notification (DOCUMENT_APPROVAL_MSG) will not show it.  Is there a trick to this?
