oracle 11g dbms_scheduler job email notifications not received

Hello All,
Since last monday, when we had a server crash, a dbms_scheduler job's (for gather statistics) email notifications are not received.

All the setup required for the email notifications is in place. The fact that it was working until last weekend proves that the setup is in place for this to work.

I've been digging around lots of MOS notes and oracle blogs, but unable to narrow down to what the issue is.

FYI : we did a test email from the server (OS level) and it was received fine. So the network issues and mail server issues are ruled out.
