Question on workflow wait action

A workflow wait action on field [<EndDate>] has to be set up for several year later.
Question A: Will the wait action work properly?
Question B: as the workflow, whose order is after this one, will start when the "Wait" workflow ended. Is there anyway to stop/break the wait?
Question C: During the wait action, will Release Upgrade and Patch stop the wait action? is there any other thing we should know?
