Do we need to apply patches in physical standby whenever a new patch is applied in Primary mandatori
We have recently applied Oracle Bundle patch 16803774 in primary and in physical standby we didn’t do anything. After restarting the Primary database, one week the archive logs were shipping fine but after that the archives transmission gets failed frequently even though after applying archive manually in standby it will fail once again after some hours. When we tried a database bounce in primary the archive log transmission works fine for approx. 10 days and once again transmission failed. Does the patch has anything relation to this problem?
When we notice one thing the archive transmission miss will always start with a file which is more than 100m after this miss the archive log shipping is still continues to send archive logs but misses file in random. Is this anything related to redo log sizes ? Please suggest.
