respond on field not updating

Hi All,

There is a field in SR form called " Respond on" and ideally this field should capture the time when there is a change in the SR status ( as per the UG documentation). I have checked the " Responded" flag in SR status definition form . After this I have created an SR and inital status is " Open" and saved .. when I saved the time field got updated in " REspond on" field. But If I change the status to " working" or some other status then the time is not updating. ( for all the status " Responded" check box is checked).

Any idea what could be the problem ?
