Defaulting rule for return reason on the line level is protected against update

I need to default the return reason at the line level from the header level

I am not able to check the check box

I am getting an error

FRM-40200: Field is protected against update

But he line level is defaulted but not for the one imported through interface

so can I avoid this message and continue to default the return reason from the header
