Triggering of XML gateway Mapping for outbound process

 We wanted to design an Oracle XML Gateway mapping file for outbound process.
If i have developed the mapping file using Message Designer and now i wanted to trigger this mapping file so that data as per client requirements can be sent out.

My Question:
How can i trigger the mapping file from the sales order screen,
I wanted to trigger when a ship confirm button is pressed.
Can you please let me know the process to do this.
