WHEN SETTING UP CATEGORY MAPPING FOR PUNCHOUT, IS THERE AN ALTERNATIVE TO MAPPING EXTERNAL CATEGORY

edited May 25, 2014 9:00PM in Procurement - EBS (MOSC) 4 commentsAnswered
All of the documentation I can find on setting up category mapping in Oracle e-Commerce gateway specifies that Internal Value and External 1 fields are defined as:

Internal Value: Internal category code (Category field in the Category Codes window) used in Oracle Applications
External 1: External category code used by the hub or supplier contained in the <categoryCode> punchout tag.

Using the supplier's external category code is not an option for us because they are very inconsistent and inaccurate. I would like to map the supplier's item number to our internal category code.

Can we use another supplier-supplied value such as item number?

Howdy, Stranger!
