P09131 Manual Reconciliation process: When to click Update?
We got snagged by this change in process, having come up from Xe to 9.1. We were having one person reconcile and another person perform the update. Because of this change in process, we lost the reconciled items and essentially had to start over again. [I've since found a way around this - wish I would have thought of it sooner. ]
I see there is an ESU out there to improve this process, but we aren't ready to take that just yet. So in the meantime, what will cause this cache to clear? If I'm reconciling and get called away from my desk, and my session times out, will the cache clear? If so, should it be the practice that if you have to step away, make sure you Update first? I assume you can Update multiple times? To be safe, should I Update every 10 minutes or so? Is there any harm to updating often?
