2 Node RAC vs 3 Node RAC
We are building a new system and would like to use oracle 11gr2 RAC for our databases. We have decided to go with 2node RAC or 3node RAC.
Our system will have around 20-50 concurrent users only, the main consideration here is availability more than performance.
We need to our databases to be up 24/7 and performance is ket but can be sacrificed a bit for availability.
Is cost the only factor that decides whether to go for 3node or not ?
I understand we will be having high availability with 3node RAC, even if the other 2 goes down.
Is it better to go for a 3node RAC on 3 small servers (memory, cpu etc) or 2 node rac on 2 large servers ?
