ODBC connection to Essbase 11.1.2.2

I am trying to connect to Essbase via an ODBC connection. I have downloaded the DataDirect 7.1 Oracle Wire protocol driver but I can't successfully establish the connection.
Could someone help me connect to Essbase application utilizing a ODBC connection thanks?
