OTL: Generate flexfield and mapping information error is coming

I have made an element then associated it with alternate names. Then tried to enter time by using the new alternate name but the error came that you must generate flexfield and mapping information. then I ran generate flexfield and mapping information process and entered yes in all parameters except the absence parameter and in the date I gave the current date that is 04-Nov-2013.
Then again tried to submit the time card but still the same error is coming now even when I am selecting the older alternate names.
Please guide in this regards.
