Category Management template config with Java rules.

There are several rules in the Oracle Retail template for Category Management (13.4.1) with some Java expressions. Does anybody know what these rules are specifically doing? What type of calculations are being performed? What is the output of these rules?

The rules (4 of them) are in a rule group used in a custom menu option in the Assortment Rationalization @ Cluster Workbook.

Rule Set: ARC

Rule Group: fragmentExpr

All four rules are very similar to this first one in the rule group.
