When selecting a catalogue item in iProc, gives the error - Category is invalid

When selecting a catalogu item in iProc it gives the error - invalid category.

But can use the same item in core purchasing without any error.

I tried changing the catgory in core purchasing, assign another, save and re assigned the same. but didnt work.

The category mapping from core pur to i Proc was also checked and seems intact.

what could be the reason?
