Error Codes after Final Payroll Update

After final update was run we had some Tax Ledger Control Reports print out with errors.  The erros are

Code 002   Tax Ledger record not posted to history

Code 004   Variance between check and history

The employees who printed on the error list all live in one state but work in another state.  We didn't make any changes to the employee set up, but we did apply the Vertex Q patch this past weekend prior to payroll being processed.  When an employee works in one state but lives in another state is there something in the Pay & Tax Revision screen that should be set up differently?  The Tax Area is already set up as with the Resident tax area.  Again, this was never an issue until we applied the update.
