Tablespace alerts not received

We are using OEM 12c thats used to monitor our 2 node rac db's running on ODA
Eventhough the warning and critical thresholds are set for tablespace space used at 85% and 97%, we never receive the tablespace space related alerts and this causes our batches to fail due to space issues.

Is this a known issue for which a workaround is available?
