Trail Balance displaying negative sign rather than brakets

i have an issue where one user  when running the Trial Balance report her figures are displayed with a negative sign in front i.e. -18,058.40 however when the report  is run by other users this figure is displayed with brackets i.e (18,058.40)

The users are using the same responsibility and have been assigned the same profile options.   What amendments are needed to ensure that this users reports are displayed with brackets rather than the negative sign.
