Mapping shares to OEL clients for performance
Wondering if someone can answer this.
When configuring a number of different OEL servers for a business application a single share was created on the ZFSSA, this was then mounted on a server with root squash and a number of sub-directories created. These lower level directories were then used to mount the share to a number of different servers ie
On ZFSSA we have a share exported as /export/share01, then
/export/share01/server1 mounted on server1
/export/share01/server2 mounted on server2
/export/share01/server3 mounted on server3
The question we have is does this have an impact on performance when compared to having a separate share created for each server ?
