Note 1594198.1 (Siebel eScript: "Access Denied: Cannot access file system file or shell" error in file i/o method of the Clib object) discusses an important change introduced with the latest Siebel CRM FP, version 8.1.1.11 and 8.2.2.4: In Siebel CRM Fix Pack 8.1.1.11 / 8.2.2.4 and higher, server side code is no longer allowed file system access or to perform shell operations. This means that from this version onwards, Run-time/Client Business Services can no longer use the methods listed on Note 1594198.1.
