Is there a way to recover a datafile with a missing archived log?

Hi,
Just want to ask if there is a way to recover a datafile with a missing archived log?

ERROR at line 1:
ORA-01113: file 4 needs media recovery
ORA-01110: data file 4: '/san02/boc/users01.dbf'

We encountered a disk corruption and the archived log needed to recover the datafile is already missing.

Unfortunately we don't have a backup of the database.

DB version is Oracle 10g.

System that uses the DB is not a transactional system and only houses scanned documents.
