X4170 LSI Megaraid BBU Absent

 Hi 
i have encountered an error on the RAID controller of X4170. THe error was BBU:absent.

I can't confirm if there is a BBU on the RAID card because i do not have access to it.

Assuming there is, what could be the reason for this error?

Has it gone to the point that the raid card totally could not detect that the BBU is still attached to it. 

are there any other command or ways that can help me determine that the BBU is faulty.
